What is Hypnosis?
There are several theories about the nature of Hypnosis. One theory is that it is “a relaxed, focused state of concentration”, another is that it is an altered state of consciousness. It was assumed that a trance was similar to sleep, or that the mind was somehow unconscious. We now know that it is a hyper-awareness state for the subconscious. For most people, a trance it is simply a place where they feel very relaxed.
When you are watching a movie that you are engrossed in, driving down a long monotonous road, listening to music that captures a mood or engrosses you, you are in hypnosis.
Hypnosis is not only safe and effective, it’s one of the most comfortable ways of resolving your issues. It lets you access all your inner resources, from your most childlike and imaginative to your wisest and most mature.
During a hypnosis session, the mind is very open to visualizations and suggestions, creating a rich sensory experience. The more real the experience becomes in the subconscious mind during this state, the more effect it will have on your waking behavior.
The truth about hypnotherapy is that it can be one of the most important tools to change the way your mind experiences your world. It can help you gently release blocks, fears, and create new inner beliefs that will set the wheels in motion to make changes in the way you think, feel and behave.
